2. What is sustainability?

When we think about sustainability, we need to think globally. The world is a single space for all of us.

“Over the past two decades, economic growth has helped more than 660 million people out of poverty but very often it happens at the expense of the environment. Earth’s natural sources have been used without thinking about the future. Still there are hundreds of millions of people who live in need: 1.2 billion still lack access to electricity, 870 million do not have enough to eat, and 780 million are still without access to clean, safe drinking water.”
